Mould Inspections & Assessments

Our Mould Assessments are designed to identify, measure, and provide solutions in plain-English. We offer actionable steps and the cost to undertaking them
Two mould remediation technicians wearing full white hazmat suits, respirators, protective gloves, and booties inspect a severely damaged wall inside a stripped room. The back walls show extensive peeling wallpaper, water damage, and signs of mold or decay, while the floor is sealed with white protective sheeting. One technician stands and leans forward to observe, while the second kneels to closely examine the lower edge of a wall framing section.

The Gold Standard of Mould Removal:

The IICRC S520 Protocol

At Mould Remediators, we don’t rely on cosmetic quick-fixes like bleach. Successful remediation requires a science-based approach.

That is why our entire team strictly adheres to the ANSI/IICRC S520 Standard for Professional Mould Remediation - the internationally recognized industry benchmark for safety, compliance, and quality restoration.

The image shows thin, pale green hyphae stalks reaching upward, branching out at the top into clusters of small, rounded, dark green-blue mold spores. Several isolated spores are depicted floating freely in the surrounding space, simulating airborne spore dispersion.

The 5 Core Principles of the S520 Standard

When you hire a certified professional, your remediation protocol will follow these five fundamental pillars to ensure the environments ecology is returned to safe levels:

Health and Safety First

Prioritizing the safety of the building, occupants and our technicians by utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Documenting the Conditions

Using scientific tools - like thermal imaging, moisture mapping and independent laboratory air sampling - to accurately identify the level of contamination before work commences

Control Mould at the Source

Preventing cross-contamination. We establish strict physical containment zones using physical containment, negative air pressure and HEPA-filtered air scrubbers so microscopic spores cannot spread into unaffected areas of your property

Physical Removal of the Contamination

Fungal spores penetrate deep into porous materials (like plasterboard and carpet). The S520 standard states that these materials must be physically removed and safely disposed of, rather than cleaned or wiped away

Post-Remediation Verification (PRV)

We don’t just say the job is done; we prove it. We facilitate independent clearance testing to verify that the property has successfully returned to a normal, healthy indoor ecology before containment structures are removed.
