The answer is Yes.
Here is a story of personal loss to a mould related illness.
Part of My motivation as founder of WA Flood and Fire and then Mould Remediators stems from my loss of my mother to mould related illness.
In her early 60s my mother Pam was diagnosed with lung cancer and immediately rushed into surgery to have it removed. She was able to beat the cancer but retained a persistent raspy cough which was very uncomfortable and sometimes caused disabling coughing fits.
After seeing several specialists, it was discovered during her lung cancer operation mould had entered her wound and was thriving inside her lungs.
She was put on several courses of very aggressive antibiotics which seemed to relieve her symptoms to a degree.
As part of the treatment, she required yearly bronchoscopy examinations., this involved inserting a camera into her lungs. Very early in the morning the following day of the procedure I was called to be told that mum had passed, she had drowned in her own blood.
It's believed that the procedure weakened an area in her lung, which was then ruptured during one of her coughing fits.
I have learned the hard way to take mould very seriously and understand the impact it can have on your life and those around you.
We tailor our testing and remediation with a strong understanding of the complexities of mould related illnesses and autoimmune reactions to the toxins associated.
